Arts in the Park

I just love going to Arts in the Park in Ely Nevada. Indian tacos with a snow cone and cotton candy - YUM! I used to have a booth there every year but don't have the time now. It is fantastic to see all the booths and all the hard work people put into their arts. Some had knit and crocheted items, some had wood crafted items, and so much more. There were a few booths that I thought were new. One was a lady that made hand crafted baskets. They were so beautiful. A gentle man mad art using tooled copper. I wanted the big piece to go on a wall (3 pieces) but don't have the $4,500 to pay for it. That is still a wish of mine along with several baskets to go under it. Another booth had knives with had carved handles. So much talent and beauty. I was hoping that the lady with the incense would be there but no luck this year. The booth with the scented soaps was there and I got a bar of lavender soap. The booth with the twirling metal sun catchers was there and I finally was able to get one. You could smell the potpourri booth across the park so I followed the scent and found the scent I was following which I now have home. Can't wait until next year now. Guess I will just have to settle with the upcoming Christmas Bazaar in December.
